By the time I was 12 years old I was sure I wanted to be a writer. After writing plays and stories throughout High School I attended Oberlin College, where I earned a degree in English and Creative Writing.
Upon graduating I worked as a writer and editor for American Greetings Card Company. Since leaving AG in 2007, I've had the opportunity to work in a vast array of creative and literary capacities and environments, while pursuing my own personal projects which include various books, screenplays and video endeavors, as well as the creation of a huge fictional universe called The Creative Extreme, I built alongside a close friend.

The Creative Extreme
The Creative Extreme is an entertainment company that specializes in creating original fictional content for books, comic books, digital comics, television, film, animation, digital video, audio content, music and more.
Founded in 2015, my writing partner and I have created over 400 original characters across more than 30 unique properties.
Founder and CEO
I, along with my writing partner, have cultivated and directed a network of artists, graphic designers, animators, writers and editors in an effort to create and distribute exciting and engaging stories and characters through digital platforms, print media and social media; I participate in solicitation of and negotiations with potential partners, collaborators and clients.
Lead Creative Director
I cast the vision for the stories we want to tell. Along with my writing partner, I conceptualize the content and assign projects to creative personnel within The Creative Extreme global network. I maintain contact with personnel and set the work schedule for completion. I oversee revisions, editorial changes, and all other aspects pertaining to the creation and distribution of each piece.
Editor-in-Chief
I edit, revise and approve all editorial content produced and released by The Creative Extreme, including, but not limited to, stories, screenplays, website content, treatments, outlines, comic strips, comic books, novels and ad copy.
Head Writer
I am the primary content creator for The Creative Extreme. I brainstorm, conceptualize, and write the content; I research, revise and polish stories; I oversee the connectivity and balance of The Creative Extreme's vast comic-book inspired fictional multiverse which includes several hundred characters and several dozen interconnected storylines; I develop new ideas.
Art Director
I review and approve all content for distribution; I oversee all visual and editorial aspects of all projects produced by or through The Creative Extreme; I coordinate contractors and freelancers and serve as liaison between team members, all of whom are located throughout the world.

CrossFit Fenix is the premiere CrossFit Gym in Perrysburg, Ohio. I have served as the facility’s creative director since it’s opening in November of 2023.
I designed the CrossFit Fenix website, and wrote the copy for the pages. I currently manage numerous subcontractors, including graphic designers, photographers and videographers who contribute to the website. I built and continue to maintain Fenix’s social media platforms (primarily IG and FB).

The Director of Fundraising at St. Ursula Academy, a private catholic all-girls school in Ottawa Hills, Ohio, contracted me to create a video to be shown at the institutions annual Fundraising event, Serata Di Gala.
Lion Forge Animation - Freelance Writer; Creative Consultant (April 2022)
Award-winning animation studio Lion Forge commissioned me to write and consult on a project they were developing. I assisted with fleshing out story elements, character profiles, and thematic concepts. I also wrote an outline/treatment for what an animated series for the IP could look like.
